Arizona drivers know that Cadillac has always set the standard for luxury cars in North America. Not only has Cadillac consistently created high quality vehicles, but it has completely changed the standards by which all vehicles are created. Can you imagine trying to start your car with a hand crank in the middle of an Arizona summer? What about driving through the Arizona desert without air conditioning? Cadillac made it so nobody in Arizona has to do so; they invented and began mass producing cars with full electrical ignition systems in 1908, and started to incorporate climate control systems in the 1960’s. The V8 engine was another Cadillac creation, one that eventually set the standard for all vehicles manufactured by American car companies. Steel roofs and synchromesh manual transmissions were also developed by Cadillac, making vehicles more comfortable and easy for people in Arizona to drive.

Since its founding in 1902, Cadillac has maintained its status as one of the best American manufacturers of luxury vehicles. Arizona drivers are almost certainly familiar with the classic Cadillac Coupe DeVille, which was in production for nearly fifty years and has been a staple in movies and television shows for even longer. The Escalade has become another model which Arizona drivers can undoubtedly recognize. This vehicle was the first major SUV for Cadillac, and since its introduction in the late 1990’s it has become the standard for luxury SUV, receiving admiration from everyone from hip-hop artists to professional athletes to Arizona soccer moms. Other current Cadillac models besides the Escalade include the mid-sized sedans CTS and STS, the full-sized DTS, and the crossover SRX, a vehicle that is gaining popularity among Arizona drivers because it drives like a car but borrows elements from a more rugged SUV.
